uhh… i don’t live at home because i want to be able to quit my job whenever i feel like it. i live at home because the college education you required me to get cost me more than you will pay me in the next five years.
also, i am not a “narcissistic praisehound”
finally, it’s not journalism if they only people you interview profit off of perpetuating the stereotype. when did 60 minutes become the o’reilly factor?
In the past week, I’ve heard that my generation doesn’t work, that my generation works too hard, that we have these absurdly prolonged childhoods, and that we never have a chance to be kids. I was frustrated by U.S. News’s ranking of high schools—but this 60 Minutes piece has trumped it.
Apparently 60 Minutes has decided that ageism is now okay? The promotion of blatant generational stereotypes is now an acceptable way to sell ad space? I guess I’m fine with it, if you are. Let me know if I’m getting the wrong message from this segment. Otherwise, it’s on, old man.
